It's going to be a long enough winter as it is. As a writer for the NY Times wrote in yesterday's paper, the Yankees are like elephants come home to die.
Joe Girardi took Robinson Cano out of yesterday's game because Robbie watched a hit by Cliff Floyd go rolling by him.
Mr. Hustle, Cano is not. Never has been, never will be.
The only time he seems to hustle is when he's swinging at first pitches. Usually incredibly bad first pitches.
If the New York Yankees want to reach the playoffs, (and since this year is hopeless I mean ever) they're going to have to trim the useless fat from their roster.
If you want to play major league ball, you have to act like it.
