Aloha?

Take a look at the flag behind the Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Count the stars.

There are 49.

Yup. Forty-nine.

Each star = a state of the United States of America.

There are 50 states; hence, there should be 50 stars.

Just sayin'.

So I asks myself, what made her count the stars in the first place.

There's a maxim in modern zen, "Perception is 9/10's of the law"

I'm not sure what the other tenth is, Moons, but I don't think you have to worry about it.

Wow! You're good!

Unless of course you count the stars on every flag you see. Then I'd say maybe crazy.
