Michael Phelps in Scary Face TrialsI am a huge sports fan, but I am not a fan of the Olympics. Frankly, they seem pointless to me. There's always something controversial going on -- like Olympians being murdered, Black Power salutes or dopers. Then there's the generational should we boycott them because we don't like the things that are going on in the country where they're being held?
Yes, I like seeing guys in Speedos, but that's not enough to make me like the Olympics.
Synchronized swimming is a sport? Let's be serious.
We don't need any more chauvinism. Isn't it just a small world after all?

My problem with the olympics is that people all of a sudden are interested in sports they're not really interested in.
Swimming for example. 99% of the "fans" will go 4 years before they've built up enough interest to actually watch the silly sport again.
