Ed McMahon - World Famous Second Banana I just found out today that Ed McMahon, 85 years young, is in danger of losing his multi-million dollar mansion to foreclosure. Word is over half a mill in mortgage payments is past due.
The first thing I wondered was why a guy of his advanced years hasn't paid off his home yet. At his age the only thing he should be paying off is his cemetery plot.
Didn't Johnny Carson pay him well for laughing at his terrible jokes? What did Ed do with the dough?
What about the Publishers' Clearing House commercials? And the ads for the bathtubs you can just walk right into? He didn't do them for free, did he?
Ed, you might want to rethink the whole mansion thing. Do you really spend time in every room every day? Come on. You'd do a lot better with a nice little ranch in Leisure Village. You probably don't have the energy to go in more than one or two rooms a day.
