Play Ball!

You may have heard that Pope Benedict XVI is coming to America today.

You also may have heard that he will be offering Mass at Nationals Park in Washington and at Yankee Stadium in New York.

What you probably have not heard is that while here he will be trying out for a position on the Washington Nationals and the New York Yankees.

The Pope heard that the Yankees needed help in their bullpen, and of course he wanted to assist in any way he can.

He has revealed that Heaven is actually a huge baseball field.

To be fair, Pope Benedict thought he should also try out for a National League team, and who better than the dismal Washington Nationals?

"My job is resurrecting," he smiled. The Nationals are currently in last place in their division.

He does not currently have plans to visit the Detroit Tigers.
