Crackers and Cheese

So here's the story.

Last night Chikezie Eze was eliminated from the American Idol competition.

An apparently nice young man whose parents are from Nigeria, Chikezie just didn't show America that something special.

The guy whose taking the risks is David Cook.

David Cook taking risks.
I think it is entirely possible that David Cook might be the next American Idol. Now it's not as if I don't think he has some talent. He does. But he also has some other things that I find troublesome.

David's hair looks as if it was styled by Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. There's an almost spit curl on his cheek.
And he's got a soul patch. Right there under his bottom lip. It is not necessary to have a soul patch to have soul, David. Please put your razor to good use.
The biggest problem is that David is conceited. Humility is not in this guy's vocabulary. He comes across as if he thinks he is the greatest thing since the electric guitar amp.
I think David will go far in the competition. Whether or not he's the ultimate winner remains to be seen.
Let's see how much the voters like their cheese.
