My favorite whacko of 2007 is back in the news! Lisa Nowak, diapered former astronaut, is pleading temporary insanity in her trial for the attempted kidnapping of her "love rival."
Kids, it doesn't get much better than this.
She got the court to agree to take off her "ankle bracelet" because it was bothering her. She couldn't wear her combat boots comfortably with it on. So now the woman who she tried to murder..ahem...kidnap is sorta like a sitting duck because she can roam free, kinda like free range chicken.
It doesn't appear that Lisa will be going into outer space any time in the near future, at least in a NASA space vehicle. Whether or not the aliens come back to get her is open for debate.
