On Memorial Day while many were out tending the grass and barbequing, I was watching episodes of Law and Order. TNT was having a marathon!
I have no idea how many episodes have been produced of the show, but I seem to have made a pact to see all of them at least once. I never watched it during its early prime time run so all the episodes were new to me until fairly recently.
When my daughter, the law school student in whom I am well pleased, and I watch it together she can tell me how the characters are trampling the fourth amendment with abandon.
Okay so maybe it's not realistic when the attorneys lounge all over the jury box, but it's fun to watch the courtroom histrionics.
The cops only occasionally Mirandize their arrests.
We also have been given Law and Order Special Victims Unit, Law and Order Criminal Intent and Law and Order Trial by Jury, but I have to admit I still prefer the Vanilla variety.
It's not reality, but that's okay. Even the so-called reality shows leave a lot lacking in that category as well.
