I Know You Are But What Am I?

Lindsay Lohan, troubled child star, has been selected to play another troubled child star albeit a deceased one, Liz Taylor, in a Lifetime movie.

Ms. Lohan whose most recent work in Hollywood concerns being arrested and appearing in court has her problems with substance abuse not unlike Ms. Taylor did, so perhaps it's a good fit and not as ridiculous as some might think.

Like Rosie O'Donnell.  Why is Rosie O'Donnell still in the slightest bit relevant?

She appeared on the Today Show to put in her two cents about this cinematic avalanche brewing on the mountain.

Among the various things O'Donnell said about Lohan was:  "I don't think she's right for the role, and I don't think she's capable at this point of doing what's needed to portray that character. I think the interest level in her has waned significantly."

Perhaps that's true, Rosie but the interest level in you has also waned significantly.

Chances are also good that interest in Liz has also waned significantly.

So why is this happening?

Happy Birthday Rosie!

Today is Rosie O'Donnell's 48th birthday and with it comes word that she may be staging a comeback on daytime television!

The only thing we need less than another Rosie O'Donnell show is terminal cancer, but apparently there are those who think she might be marketable enough to replace Oprah when Ms. Winfrey goes off the air in September of 2011.

As if.

We all know Oprah is irreplaceable, especially on daytime TV.

Rosie's Nasty Box

Thanks to www.regretsy.com the listing above came to my attention.

Yes, that is Rosie O'Donnell hawking her wares on www.etsy.com, and before you go getting all excited that you might have a chance to buy her ... um ... thing, forget it. It's been sold. Get a magnifying glass if you can't read the accompanying Twitterism.

Be of good cheer, however. She's got lots of other crap that she's selling for charity. Point is you've got to actually buy something she's ... um... made for her to make the donation. Or maybe you could pay her to stop.

I'm sure she can bang out a lot of these crazy ass boxes when she's not out chasing young tail. Seriously I hope she's taken her son's advice and started attending meetings of the Drunk Club.

Rosie O'Donnell ~ Drunk Club Member?

We don't think she's performing the Heimlich maneuver

Before you start saying, "If you don't like Rosie O'Donnell, don't watch her new movie 'America' appearing on Lifetime TV about the foster care system in this country," calm down.

We know we don't have to watch it. We just don't think it needs to be on television where the unsuspecting might come across it.

Apparently once upon a time Rosie was a foster mom. That was before she adopted three kids and wife, Kelli, gave birth to Vivi.

Rosie's eldest, Parker, was asked by his mom last November to get her another beer. He declined, saying:

"Because you know what, I think you drink too much beer ... Lately I think it's too much."

He further advised her: "There's a drunk club, I forget what it's called, but you have to like be really drunk to get in, I don't know if they'd let you in, but you could ask them for tips."

All this Rosie told Tyra Banks, adding that she's been sober since December 1st.

We don't know if Rosie is attending the drunk club, which might be AA where we know no cocktails are served. We applaud her son for trying to get mommy sober. Good luck, kid.
