Have you ever noticed that for some people life is just a shit show? They can't catch a break?Jorge Perez was one of those people we suspect although all we really know about him is how he died.
Jorge was 21 and hailed from Guatemala which is not known for its snow skiing.
After working as landscapers all day during the snowstorm on Saturday, he and his cousin were in the back of a truck taking them back to their home base in Queens. They were freezing so Jorge turned on one of the lawnmowers.
Unfortunately, no one ever told Jorge or his cousin about carbon monoxide poisoning. He died. The cousin was rushed to the hospital and his life saved.
Probably the owner of the company never thought he would have to tell his workers not to turn on the equipment in an enclosed space with no ventilation. That was most unfortunate.
