Can You Fill This?

You may have heard about the man who walked into a pharmacy in Medford, Long Island and shot and killed four people on Father's Day. He then stuffed his backpack with more than 11,000 hydrocodone pills, hopefully enough to keep him and his wife happy for a day or two.

Well, police have arrested David Laffer (pictured above) and his bride, Melinda Brady (she's on top). Reports say they both put up a struggle inside the house where they lived. Looks like Mr. Laffer lost.

Now there is an uproar over people who are addicted to prescription pain medication. Is that why Mr. Laffer had an arsenal at home? Is that why he's crazy?

Or was it his stint in the army, the recent loss of his job, or his love of hockey that turned him into a cold blooded killer?

Might this be a foreshadowing of what will happen when people have no insurance and need to rustle up some Levacor or Viagra?

Wear a bulletproof vest when you go to the drug store, kids, and maybe a helmet too.
