Sibling Rivalry

This is the new governor of Alabama. His name is Robert Bentley.

In fairness, we don't know much about him except the other day he completely forgot that the United States has a Constitution let alone what's in it. And no, Governor, you guys did not succeed in seceding.

He gave a speech in which he said, "Anyone here who has not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, I'm telling you, you're not my brother and you're not my sister, and I want to be your brother."

Because he said this in a church, it was supposedly okay -- at least according to his defenders. No, we don't think so.

He has since apologized, which is good. However, we have this nagging suspicion that he really believes what he said in the first place and may act in accordance with what he calls his 'core beliefs.'
