We were seriously not going to mention last week's Antarctic cruise ship misadventure wherein The Clelia II battled thirty foot swells and a wave broke the bridge window. Apparently the passengers (obviously with too much time and money on their hands) just had a riotous good time during their little adventure and one they won't soon forget. They'll be regaling others at their country clubs for years to come! But then we hear about another cruising bruising just yesterday and well ... we can't let that go ...
The Brilliance of the Seas was cruising the Mediterranean and (stop me if you've heard this) hit some heavy weather. Some passengers suffered broken bones as they bounced around. Yes, it's a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.
Was the Mediterranean angry that a cruise line named for another sea was in its water?
Once more, people. Ships are for fleeing to lands without religious persecution or famine. They're not for joyriding.
