Austrian parish priest, Otto Weber, listed the beautiful confessional pictured above on eBay. He was hoping to raise money for renovations on his church.
Weber, ever creative, suggested the confessional could be used as a bar, a one-person sauna or a children's playhouse.
Well, the Vienna Archdiocese got pissed and took down the listing. And the bidding had gotten up to almost 700 euros!
The reason? Some rules you never heard of:
Selling objects that were used for dispensing the sacraments is not acceptable and confessionals should not be converted into saunas or bars.
