Bossa No-No

Not only is South America filled with crazy clerics, but some of them actually got together to talk trash with each other!

At the National Conference of Brazilian Bishops (which really should be the name of a bossa nova group) one of the worst, Archbishop Dadeus Grings (good rap name BTW) spewed a whole lot of nonsense. Please note: some of it may not have translated well but his intent is, unfortunately, clear.

"We know that the adolescent is spontaneously homosexual. Boys play with boys, girls play with girls. If there is no proper guidance, this sticks. The question is — how are we going to educate our children to use a sexuality that is human and suitable?"

Say what? Adolescents are spontaneously homosexual? Really?

And more balderdash:

"When sexuality is trivialized, it's clear that this is going to affect all cases. Homosexuality is such a case. Before, the homosexual wasn't spoken of. He was discriminated against. When we begin to say they have rights, rights to demonstrate publicly, pretty soon, we'll find the rights of pedophiles."

We already know pedophiles have too many rights especially when they're protected by the Vatican.

And that, dear Dadeus, is one of the problems.
