Dumb Dad Gets Lucky

So everyone in NYC (or at least at the NY Daily News) seems to be agog over the California former ski patrolman, David Anderson, who jumped into the East River to save his two-year-old drowning daughter who had fallen off the Peking at the South Street Seaport.

All I want to know is, how do you allow your toddler to walk around a ship without holding her hand? What the hell is wrong with you, Mr. Anderson?

Of course, you jump in the water to save your kid even if it's possible and/or probable you're also going to drown.
