No Sweat

Death is usually not funny and it isn't any more amusing in this case, but let us search for the cautionary tale contained therein.

Two people died at an Arizona resort while participating in a spiritual cleansing rite and nineteen others were hospitalized.

The scene of the crime? Angel Valley Retreat Center (NTS: Any spa with 'angel' in its name may mean you are soon to join them.) The leader, James Arthur Ray, has since fled, excuse me, left the state.

In a very bad imitation of a genuine Native American sweat lodge, around 60 people were crammed into a structure constructed of tarps and blankets where they were 'encouraged' to remain for two hours.

They had paid around $9,500 each for the privilege of attending the five day 'Spiritual Warrior' retreat which promised to 'absolutely change your life.' Or end it, apparently.
