Remember a few months ago when the Long Island mother got drunk and stoned and drove the wrong way on the Taconic Parkway in New York? Yeah? Well, we've got another wannabe.
Last weekend, the woman pictured above, Carmen Huertes, was drunk and crammed 7 girls in her Mercury Sable before speeding off and on to the Henry Hudson Parkway. When the girls begged her to slow down, she taunted them saying she was going to drive even faster once on the highway.
After the inevitable crash, one of the girls, Leandra Rosado, was dead.
What is up with these people? I find drunk driving even more shocking when it's a mother with her own children in the car, and I wonder what would possess a woman to do something like this?
