Strange Head Fellows

I read this and I'm thinking, "Dear God, please let this be a joke on a par with Sarah Palin being nominated for the Vice-Presidency."

Apparently, Maria Shriver, First Lady of the Bankrupt State of California and Kennedy Spawn, has an annual women's conference. This year it will be held in Long Beach in October.

Word is that she invited Kate Gosselin, late of Jon & Kate + 8, because Shriver's daughters really love the reality show. I guess they like to see greed and avarice undermine a defective marriage.

In any event, now that Kate and Jon have busted up, Maria hasn't plans to disinvite her.

"I think [Kate's] life has certainly changed dramatically, but so be it," Shriver told The Associated Press. "I think that's the beauty of this conference -- to have Madeleine Albright and Kate Gosselin at the same place."

Dear, sweet Mother of God. That's the beauty of it? That's the friggin' insanity of it, Maria. What the hell are you thinking?!
