Film of Song Retired

If you don't do well with change, this news will make you very unhappy.

Kodak is going to stop making the iconic Kodachrome film. Maybe you never bought it or used it, but Paul Simon sang about it. Of course, he wrote the song in 1973, not exactly yesterday.

Kodak's business is now 70% digital and sales of Kodachrome account for less than 1% of its still picture film.

Apparently there's nothing quite like it in the photographic world. Unlike other color film, Kodachrome is only black and white when exposed. I don't know why that's important. Just sounds like some crazy voodoo to me.
