On October 1st, the movie The Social Network opens. In case you haven't heard, it's a fictionalized version of how Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stole the idea for the site from his friends and made a bajillion dollars.
Lest that leave a bad taste in your mouth, tomorrow it'll be announced on Oprah Winfrey's show that Mr. Zuckerberg is giving $100 million of his ill-gotten dollars to the Newark, New Jersey public school system.
That's a whole lot of money for some good publicity, but maybe it'll be worth it.
