Fly Me to the Moon

In the wake of 9/11 and subsequent events including guys with explosive devices in their shoes and underpants, many bazillions of dollars have been spent installing security devices at airports.

Some of that money goes into the fences that surround said airports which have been constructed with surveillance in mind.

They don't work very well especially if the humans that are monitoring the equipment don't pay attention to it.

Take Christmas 2013 for instance.  Please.

A man scaled a fence at Newark Liberty International Airport or whatever they're calling it these days.  He made it on to the runway before being apprehended at 4:20 a.m.

The thing about this dude was that he was dressed in women's clothing; to whit, wearing a smart brown sweater and red pants.  Doesn't sound like a terrific color ensemble to us.

At first we heard he was a passenger in a car that had run out of gas, but now it seems that he was involved in an unfortunate tryst that went sour.

Thank God he had an escape plan.
