Naked Lunch

We were not aware that schools now employ lunch police. No, not police that keep food fights at a minimum but people who check the lunches kids bring from school to make sure they're nutritious.

The North Carolina state official who inspected the little girl's lunch found it to be unhealthy because it didn't contain milk and a vegetable.

The offending meal consisted of a turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, apple juice and chips.

The meal gestapo gave the four year old the school lunch instead, of which she ate three chicken nuggets. No word what else was in it, but that was all the kid ate.

Seriously, chicken nuggets are part of a healthy lunch? Aren't they composed of chicken's anuses?

Now we all know the child didn't need potato chips but another official said that was not an offending foodstuff. Actually the cheese on the sandwich took care of the dairy requirement. The rule says the kid has to have fruit or a vegetable, not necessarily both, so the whole incident was unnecessary. If she'd had ketchup wouldn't that have taken care of the vegetable requirement?

Lunches are policed because it seems that some parents think Coke and a Twinkie are a well balanced meal.
