Really Deadly Catch

In the interest of fairness, I must admit I have never watched the reality TV show Deadliest Catch, but if I'm not mistaken it's about fishermen in the Bering Sea. No doubt they can see Russia through their portholes.

About a year ago, one of the ship captains, Phil Harris, died after suffering a stroke. To commemorate the first anniversary of his passing, the Discovery Channel provided several photographs of the salty dog for Facebookers to load on their pages. I'm thinking you would have to be a very devoted fan to do that.

Seems last summer some of the captains quit the show over a pay dispute but eventually came back to the fold.

Well, tragedy has struck once again.

Crew member Justin Tennison was found dead in an Alaskan hotel room the other day. His fellow fishermen said he had died peacefully in his sleep.

Perhaps, but perhaps not. He was thirty-four years old and alcohol and marijuana was found in the room with him. An autopsy will be performed.

Is it the hard life of a seafarer or the tough life of a reality star that's doing these guys in?

RIP you guys.
