Thanksgiving Hunting

No matter how bad your Thanksgiving was, it probably wasn't as bad as Shatice Johnson's.

After dinner with her family, several stray bullets came screaming through the window of the Bronx apartment and one nailed Shatice in the shoulder. It doesn't appear she was the focus of the attack but that doesn't make her wound any less serious.

Unfortunately gunfire is not uncommon at the Sack-Wern housing project. The number of murders there this year is up 44%.

Now if there was just one murder there last year the numbers wouldn't be so ominous, but I have a feeling that's not the case.
