Some Balls

You may recall last June when Sammy Sosa was revealed to have tested positive for steroid use that we wondered when Mark McGwire would finally admit that he had taken the nasty stuff as well.

Our prayers have been answered. It took long enough but McGwire finally admitted today that he took steroids on and off for a decade, including the time he allegedly broke Roger Maris's home run record. I say allegedly because we all know without the steroids McGwire would have been an unnoticed bench player batting 200.

Boys and girls, listen up. You can deny pumping your body full of growth hormones, etc., but they show and once you stop taking them you go back to looking like an ordinary human.

My opinion? He needs to be stripped of that home run title for starters. Oh, and the Cardinals shouldn't hire him as batting coach. That would be ridiculous unless all the players are planning on getting juiced.
