Surely you couldn't have forgotten about the Balloon Boy already! It hasn't even been a month since Richard Heene concocted a scheme to promote his reality television show, which may or may not have been a figment of his imagination, and reported that his son had probably floated away in a Jiffy Pop popcorn bag.
Richard Heene will plead guilty to attempting to influence a public servant, a felony, his attorney said. Mayumi Heene will plead guilty to false reporting to authorities. They will both be on probation.
No word on whether or not they're going to be billed for the fortune they cost authorities who went searching for the kid, but I certainly hope they are.
