Oh, Honey!

You may have heard in the last few years that honeybees have been disappearing at an alarming rate worldwide. Of course without bees, fruits and vegetables aren't pollinated and starvation of humans is on the horizon.

We've pointed out previously that huge swarms of bees have been found in New York City thus indicating that the Bronx may become the new farming capital of the world.

The number of bees in NYC pales by comparison to what's going on in Florida.

In July, 250,00 bees were removed from a home in Miami Shores. A couple of weeks ago a 70-year-old woman was attacked in Palm Beach County by a swarm of bees that managed to kill her three dogs. And just over the weekend 60,000 bees were removed from the wall of a home in Hialeah, Florida.

Seems that the bees want to retire to Florida too and with so many folks losing their homes to foreclosures, residents lack the money to remove the insects from their homes.
The bees found in Florida seem to have migrated from Brazil. Now I don't know how you figure that out since I don't think they have passports, unless authorities are being hit by beads thrown at them during Mardi Gras.
