Word comes from Florida where a family pet python escaped from its aquarium and strangled a sleeping two-year-old. The snake escaped.Unfortunately there appears to be a huge number of idiots living in central Florida keeping these pythons as pets. Then when the snakes get to be too big, too much trouble or too murderous, they release them into the wild.
Also during Hurricane Andrew many snakes escaped and since then have been busy making baby snakes all over the state.
The burgeoning snake population is even endangering other wildlife, like alligators. Will that be enough to get people up in arms?
