Canadian Judge Coddles Hacker

You may recall last summer we brought you the story of the Chinese immigrant who went berserk on a bus travelling in Canada, beheaded a passenger and started to eat him. (See 8/5/08 "Chinese Emigrant Likes Chop Chop")


Well, you'll be pleased to know that the judge hearing the case has determined that Vince Li will not be going to prison but to a mental institution.


I'm sure that workers in psych hospitals all over Canada are anxiously awaiting his arrival. It should be like a page out of "The Silence of the Lambs."

It is reported that Mr. Li wants to get better and is going to work very hard on his treatment. Yeah, like how hard, Vince? As hard as you worked to sever this guy's head?

Li will be reevaluated annually to see if he's fit to return to society. If and when it is determined that he is, he will be released without serving any prison time.

If you ask me, that just sucks. Especially considering that Li begged the police to kill him at the time he was arrested for the barbaric murder.

Is it too late to give him what he wants?
