Spiritual Death Comes from the Archbishop

Jesus gets zapped by Zeus in Rio

A nine-year-old girl was abused repeatedly over three years (yes, that would mean since she was six) by her stepfather in Brazil. As fate would have it, she became pregnant with twins.

Abortion is generally illegal in Brazil but allowed in cases of rape or when the pregnancy endangers the mother’s life. Last Tuesday she entered a hospital and was given medication to abort the pregnancy.

As if the girl's horrendous experience wasn't bad enough, Archbishop José Cardoso Sobrinho of Olinda and Recife excommunicated the girl's mother and the doctor who carried out the procedure.

According to the Irish Times: The archbishop made clear that the excommunication did not extend to the young girl at the centre of the case. Archbishop Cardoso Sobrinho is a leading member of the Brazilian Catholic Church’s conservative wing and a firm opponent of abortion which he calls a “silent holocaust."

But it's okay for even some archbishops to deny there was a Jewish holocaust? Well, gee, I guess the girl's probably okay with everything that happened to her as long as she wasn't excommunicated.

What about the stepfather? Did he get excommunicated?

I think the god father should get exballicated at the very least. I'm not prone to violence but I think I could do it.... Yea, I could do it.
