There isn't confirmation as yet, but the most recent reports are that Natasha Richardson is brain dead and has been taken off life support in Lenox Hill Hospital, New York.
Life is a crap shoot and some of us get more crap than others. You can fall in your own bathroom and kill yourself.
Ms. Richardson's accident happened to take place on a beginner's slope right in front of a ski instructor. Unfortunately she wasn't wearing a helmet.
I am reminded of when Meredith Viera was ice skating at Rockefeller Center with Will Ferrell and he pulled her between his legs cracking her skull on the ice. That sent shivers up my spine at the time. I kept wondering if she was going to keel over after the incident. Thankfully she didn't.
