Everybody Hates Gwyneth

The economy's in the crapper, there's a foot of snow outside and I'm worried about Gwyneth Paltrow? Hell, yeah! We all need comic relief.

Did you know Gwyneth has a website called GOOP? Yes, she does. It's subtitled, "Nourish the Inner Aspect."

Apparently "GOOP" are her initials. How appropriate. It's also what's inside her head. Here we have a snotty little New York prep school girl doing exactly what we would expect in her adulthood: taking herself waaaay too seriously.

GOOP will tell you how to live your life appropriately. It offers advice like "Police your thoughts," and "Eliminate white foods." One of Ms. Paltrow's former employees said she wouldn't know vegetarian food if it fell out of her kitchen cupboard and hit her on the head.

According to the NY Times: Ms. Paltrow has recommended expensive hotels, restaurants and jewelry and offered tips on getting reservations at two of the Momofuku restaurants that don’t, in fact, take reservations.

Gwyneth has also shared the tidbit that her children call adults "grownies." I think she meant "groanies," and I'll bet they were referring solely to their mother.

Looks like she's done a good job of policing her thoughts. They're all under arrest.
