Saturn - Dead in the Water

The changes are a-comin' for the auto industry.

Chrysler's new management team announced that the Chrysler Pacifica crossover, Dodge Magnum wagon and PT Cruiser would be dropped. You remember the Cruiser? The old timey looking car?

The Hummer is heading to the graveyard as well. Do we really need a vehicle that gets a couple of yards to the gallon?

The Saturn line is also going to disappear, like the 'planet' Pluto. It just never did well. Go figure.

If no buyer is found for Saab, that brand will fade away as well. Saabs are debatably the ugliest cars on the market but you could drive a Hummer into it and it'd be fine.

Looks like the automakers might be doing what they should have done maybe 20, 30 years ago, building fuel efficient, reliable cars that hopefully people will want to buy.
