Anyone Watch the Grammies?

Maybe I shouldn't comment on a program I didn't even watch, but what the hell ...

The last time I tuned into the Grammy awards was probably about 15 years ago and even then I asked myself why I was watching.

Jennifer Hudson won a Grammy. Personally I think they gave her one 'cause they felt sorry three of her family members were murdered. A Grammy ain't gonna bring back the loved ones.

Rihanna and her boyfriend Chris Brown weren't even there. Brown was apparently in police custody for beating the shit out of a woman the night before.

Coldplay won a few awards, one for song of the year "Viva la Vida." Last time I looked Joe Satriani was suing them for copyright infringement over that very same song. Shouldn't Joe have been a co-winner?

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss won more awards for their collaborative "Raising Sand." Once upon a time my ex-husband used to run coke up his nose with Robert Plant. Ah, the good old days.
