Televangelist Pat Robertson is keeping his 2009 predictions within the realm of possibility, as he did last year. Obviously he thinks this will prevent people from thinking he's a crackpot. Wrong!
Last year he predicted there would be a worldwide recession, gold would hit $1000 an ounce and oil would top $150 a barrel. He claimed to know who would be elected President, but refused to spill the beans.
He did not predict that oil prices would also plummet during 2008. Or at least, God didn't tell him.
This year he predicts an economic recovery is forthcoming and that Islam will be rejected for being a religion of hate.
Ho hum.
In 2005 he claimed God told him Supreme Court Justices would be removed 'quickly.'
In 1988 he claimed God wanted him to run for President. Maybe so, but I don't think God wanted him to win.
Pat's bland predictions for 2009 make me long for the good old days when he thought Hugo Chavez should be assassinated.
