Paradise Lost

Ship returns two folks lighter

Granny and Pop Pop went on a Carnival cruise and are presumed to have gone overboard.
The unidentified couple, he 90 years young and she a sprightly 79, went missing on the Carnival Cruise Ship Paradise as it sailed from Long Beach, CA to Mexico and back.
Here's the creepy part. The ship left Long Beach on Monday. The couple was last seen on Tuesday night. The Paradise docked on Friday. That's when they discovered they were missing.
Is it any wonder I'm a land lubber? It seems to me falling, jumping or being pushed off a cruise ship has replaced shuffleboard as the most popular activity.
It also seems to me that no one cares a whole lot. What does it take? A whole ship to come back empty before people see this as a problem?
