ENOUGH ALREADY!

First of all let me say that I don't know what the heartbreak of infertility is like. I was very fortunate in that I was able to conceive without medical intervention.

However with the news that octuplets have been born in California, I feel the need to say, "What are you doctors thinking?"

Of course no one is saying that the mother who gave birth to this litter was involved in fertility treatments, but come on, guys! This number of young is a lot even for a dalmation to deliver at once!

Do the infertile really know what they're in for when they sign up for treatments? Perhaps they are just so focused on becoming parents that rational thought has gone out the proverbial window?

The medical community really needs to come up with some better solutions for infertility. This feast or famine approach to childbearing is not healthy for parents or babies.
