In Colchester, UK a woman's Ugg boot got caught under the track at a railroad crossing and a passer-by pulled her to safety.
Her boyfriend apparently was angry that she was causing them to miss their train and went back to grab her and drag her across the tracks. Most regrettably a train was entering the station at that time, killing the woman. Her boyfriend jumped clear.
This happened ten months ago but the case has just come to court.
'The Crown's case is he ignored the shouts of those present warning of the train's imminent arrival. He acted with complete disregard to the obvious danger to which he was putting them both.'
The court heard Miss Mack was three times the drink-drive limit and was on a cocktail of methadone and four types of Valium-type drugs. Mr Etherington said Palmer may also have been intoxicated.
Yuh think?
