I was stunned to hear that next fall (of 2009 presumably) Jay Leno will have a show entitled "The Jay Leno Show" (such creativity) running Monday through Friday at 10pm on NBC.
Just because I don't know anyone who actually watches "The Tonight Show" starring the aforementioned Jay Leno doesn't mean that nobody does, but to turn five hours of prime time programming over to him weekly? Wow.
There is no way this will do anything except deposit the lifeless corpse of NBC into the nearest open grave.
Remember where you heard it first.

Sounds like a desperate move to me. Of course maybe they know something we don't. Maybe it's now possible to broadcast back in time to the days when Jay had some relevance.
OK, so what are they going to do with their only good tv shows, Law & Order and Law & Order SVU? (They already moved L&O Criminal Intent to USA) These shows are consistently on top. Their only options are to move them to the 9pm slot or remove them...neither one would be smart.
And this seems to only be aimed at people without cable, as Fox and MSNBC already have shows in a similar format. Who are the 5 people without cable?
