I don't know how this little piece of celebrity gossip eluded me, but Paul Anka was assaulted by his wife on November 28th.
Evidently they had a little spat and his wife, Anna, threw an ice cube and hit him in the head. The wound required two staples to close.
Paul stands 5'6" and weighs 140 lbs. His wife is 5'7" and weighs 120 lbs. Oh, and he's 67 and she's 37. They got married last summer.
He and Anna have a three year old son. He has five daughters with his first wife, Anne, about whom he wrote the nauseatingly sexist song, "Having My Baby."

I never realized how appropriate it was for Anka to have sung Put Your Head On My Shoulder until I saw this picture.
