You may remember previous posts about the American Family Association. They're the ones who were selling the enormous lighted cross for Christmas and publishing their lists of Naughty and Nice Retailers, i.e. those who mention 'Christmas' in their holiday ads and those who don't.

I thought I'd see what they were up to and they haven't disappointed me.
They claim that Newsweek trashes the Bible in support of homosexual marriage and they reference an article written by Robin Miller in the December 15, 2008 issue.
I wouldn't exactly call it trashing the Bible, but I will say the article examines what the Bible does say about marriage. It says a lot about polygamy (can we really be mad at Joseph Smith?), and impregnating one's servants.
In the New Testament, Paul thought the only people who should get married were those who could not control their animal lust.
The AFA's response written by Dr. Albert Mohler takes issue with Newsweek editorJon Meacham's statement that "...this conservative resort to biblical authority is the worst kind of fundamentalism."
Says Mohler:
Well, that statement sets the issue clearly before us. He (Meacham) insists that "to argue that something is so because it is in the Bible is more than intellectually bankrupt." No serious student of the Bible can deny the challenge of responsible biblical interpretation, but the purpose of legitimate biblical interpretation is to determine, as faithfully as possible, what the Bible actually teaches -- and then to accept, teach, apply, and obey.
Ah, gee, Dr. Mohler, no. That would kind of make the Bible a textbook, and that is not what it was designed to be.
The AFA also claims that PepsiCo has spent $500,000 to support the gay agenda in the workplace. Actually PepsiCo contributed to PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays). PFALG's mission statement:
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
I don't see education and equal civil rights to be a 'gay agenda.' Isn't that just a 'people' agenda?
Clearly the AFA is dedicated to inequality and bias.

All you have to do is to take one look at this guy and you know he's just trying to fool himself. And almost succeeding.
