Apparently Joseph Pallipurath married Reshma James in India a year ago in an arranged marriage. They moved to Sacramento, California in January. Three months ago Reshma fled across the country to get away from her abusive hubby and settled in New Jersey with a cousin.
Pallipurath drove across country, hunted down his wife, shot and killed her, a man who was attempting to help, and wounded James's cousin. He then fled to Georgia where he had relatives.
Pallipurath's dad had gotten a restraining order against Joseph in May, but dropped the request in June.
Despite that he claimed that he thought his son and daughter-in-law were happy, describing his son as 'handsome' and a 'nice guy.'
Why are parents the last to admit that their children are homicidal maniacs?
