The late, great John LennonIn 1966 John Lennon opined that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Apparently the Vatican got its collective panties in a twist over that one, and they finally forgave Lennon his remark last week.
Quick on the heels of their pardoning of the deceased Beatle, Vatican Radio marked the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' White Album and observed that the music of the Fab Four is far superior to the music being produced today.
