Touche Stadium

There won't be any post season play in Shea Stadium this fall.
Shea Stadium is the other baseball stadium in New York that will be razed this winter. Shea, a retro plastic ballpark, has seen some good times in the last 40+ years. But not this year.
The New York Metropolitans, for the second year in a row, choked in September and are out of contention. On the last day of the season they could not manage a win; proof positive that Omar Manaya fired one man last June instead of firing 40.
It is somehow fitting that the Mets folded and can't blame it on ex-manager Willie Randolph.
Have a nice winter, boys.
