The man/ The godIt could have happened to anyone, but it didn't. It happened to Jerry Lewis.
Jerry was on his way to Michigan when he was detained by security at the Las Vegas airport. Jerry had forgotten he had packed a pistol in his travel case. He gave them some story about it being an engraved gift that he stuck in his suitcase after last year's telethon. He'd forgotten about it.
The gun was confiscated and if he wants it back, he'll have to go to court.
If he didn't remember it was in his suitcase for a year do you think he'd really miss it?
Next time you want to give Cinderfella an engraved gift, better make it a picture frame.

What's scary to me is he somehow used last years telethon as his alibi. I mean that's almost a full year past.
I'm imagining him being questioned and his reply is: "telethon, telethon....telethon, telethon, telethon. And by the way... telethon".
