An Inconvenient Hypothesis
NASA scientists are gleeful about the work that Phoenix, the space probe, is doing on the Martian surface, digging and exposing what could be ice crumbs.
Now it is possible Phoenix is excavating at the site of a now defunct 7-Eleven and have uncovered what may be the remains of an old Slushee machine.
The more plausible explanation is that Phoenix has uncovered the remains of the huge Martian glaciers that are now reduced to ice fragments.
Hopefully scientists will discover the cause of the Martian melt down, but fears are running high that Phoenix will find the remains of coal burning factories and rusted out autos.
You may recall that the earlier Mars Odyssey sent back pictures of what looked to be empty swimming pools and water coolers thus leading scientists to believe that there was once water on the red planet.

Thanks Moons. Now I'm dying for a slushee.
I love cherry.
And I've been doing so good on my diet.
But I've got to have a cherry slushee.
NOW.
Thanks Moons.
