Apparently Governor Eliot Spitzer of New York was on the payroll of a high-priced prostitution ring as their Resident Elf.

Although he has not divulged the nature of his duties for the "gang," it is believed he wore long, pointy shoes and a conical hat.

There is talk he may have performed magic tricks and made animals out of balloons. These allegations remain unconfirmed.
