Ever notice some times you come up with a couple of words or a phrase and you say, "That'd make a great title for a _____ (book) (song) (rock group) (television show)."?
Today I heard a great one: Metaphor Stew.
Now would you think that would be better for a song, book, rock group or album? (Do we still say album or do we just say "CD?")
My theory is that there are titles floating in the cosmos waiting to be attached to a monumental burst of creativity. It's all a question of having the right title. The meaning of the title doesn't even have to be immediately apparent. It just has to be open to possibilities.
But I suppose that is the first step in creativity anyway: being open to possibilities. Without that first step you would never recognize the great title in the first place.
