Once upon a time in Kansas, someone had a brilliant idea to take pictures of high school seniors posing with wild animals.
Brilliant until yesterday, that is, when a Siberian tiger turned and mauled the seventeen year old girl he was posing with and killed her.
Did he think she was taking up more than her fair share of the photo shoot? Did the tiger think it was really a "photo chew" and not "photo shoot?" Was he annoyed that he was being photographed on his bad side?
We'll never know because after he killed the young lady, he in turn was killed.
Now the death of a young person is always tragic, but this I daresay, was the result of incredible stupidity.
There's a reason why they're called "Siberian" tigers. It's because that's where they belong. There's no reason they should be posing for the cameras in Kansas with a mouthful of teenager. High school pictures should be taken in nice, safe little photo studios.
